On today’s episode, I am talking to Sanyika Street. Sanyika is an amazing coach that creates incredible results for entrepreneurs, influencers, startup owners, and has a very unique approach to doing that. Today, we are not going to hear so much about his approach, but about his life philosophy.  We are going to hear about how he became a firestarter and what that means for him in his business, his life, and the world around him.

Sanyika The Firestarter is a Storyteller, Performing Artist, Keynote Speaker & Empowerment Coach. His mission is to inspire people into action by telling the world’s greatest stories. Brands, Organizations, and Universities have made Sanyika one of today’s most requested speakers as a result of his ability to deliver inspiring spoken word performances and teach the “The Power Of Storytelling.” As the founder of The Firestarter Nation, he creates Social Empowerment Campaigns that tell our society’s most important stories. His most recent campaign, “Thank You For Your Service ” (produced by The All Warrior Network in cooperation with the US ARMY) went viral receiving over 2.4 million impressions across all social platforms.

In this episode, we are going to learn how to make powerful yes or no decisions and allow us to remove all of the roadblocks out of the way in our own life.  Sanyika is incredibly powerful and I really enjoyed getting to know him over the last few months and I hope you enjoy this podcast as much as I did having the conversation.

  • [17:33] Nothing carries a meaning other than the one we assign it. The way we move on it will be based on the meaning we assign it and what it says about us.
  • [19:28] We have the steps and process, but many don’t believe it because they have a trust issue.
  • [20:43] Your deep belief system will inform you as navigate the how.
  • [22:36] When it comes to a choice you are either choosing a powerful yes or a powerful no.
  • [24:42] Our brain’s primary job is to keep us alive so it is constantly trying to automate processes for our subconscious so we can be available for real-world threats.

  • [30:07] How are you taking a stand for you?
  • [32:21] Ownership is the difference between not knowing what to do and knowing what to do.
  • [35:19] We get to choose in these moments how we react. We get to take a stand for what we believe in and take ownership of that moment.
  • [37:06] Shift all your energy from not knowing what to do to exhausting every measure.
  • [37:56] Your choice is black and white, but there are many different actions you can take.
  • [39:25] Sometimes you need things to piss you off to know where you stand.
